In collaboration with Dutch writer Jeroen Van Den Burgh, who, like Rowlands, is an international associate of the Lark Theatre. They had been working on the idea for more than a year. In the interim, a close friend of Rowlands from Galway, where many of his plays have been seen, Michael Diskin, died. His death had an impact upon the evolving text. It is a beautifully written monologue concerning the nature of friendship, collaboration and cancer. The play will be given its first ever reading On The Edge in April, at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway with Russell Gomer in the pivotable role. Their combined work will be shown at the Frisian summer festival, Oerol that takes place each June on the island of Terschelling, NL
